Saint Mary's Nurses Honored as Arkansas Nurse of the Year Nominees

Saint Mary's Regional Health System is proud to announce that several members of its nursing team have been nominated for the 2026 Arkansas Nurse of the Year Awards, presented by March of Dimes. 

The Arkansas Nurse of the Year program recognizes nurses from across the state who demonstrate excellence in patient care, leadership, compassion and service. Hundreds of nominations are submitted annually, with nurses representing a wide range of specialties and care settings. 

"Being nominated by colleagues and peers is one of the highest honors in nursing," said Carolyn Cook, chief nursing officer at Saint Mary's Regional Health System. "These nominations reflect the exceptional care, dedication and compassion our nurses bring to patients and families every day. We are incredibly proud to see them recognized among the state's best." 

The following Saint Mary's nurses were nominated for Arkansas Nurse of the Year:

Nurse of the Year nominees are recognized for their commitment to advancing the nursing profession while making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients, coworkers and communities. 

At Saint Mary's, nurses play a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care throughout the River Valley. From bedside care and emergency services to leadership, education and specialty care, these professionals help fulfill the health system's mission of making communities healthier. 

The Arkansas Nurse of the Year Awards will be held Nov. 19, 2026, in Little Rock and will celebrate nurses from across the state who exemplify excellence in their profession.
