As a patient, you will be cared for by staff trained to respond to medical emergencies. We understand a visit to the ER can be a very stressful time; therefore, you should expect us to communicate with you and guide you through your situation. You should always ask questions if you do not understand.

Saint Mary's is also an award-winning designated stroke center, using 24/7 telemedicine through the UAMS Institute for Digital Health & Innovation's Stroke Program. This allows us to connect ischemic stroke patients with vascular neurologists within minutes, ensuring timely treatment. Our current door-to-treatment record is 19 minutes.
