Saint Mary's Expands Birth Care Options with Local Certified Nurse-Midwife Miranda Smith

Saint Mary's is pleased to announce the addition of Miranda Smith, DNP, CNM, APRN, to its medical staff.
Smith earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and completed her nurse-midwifery education at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She brings more than seven years of experience in obstetric and women's health care and is dedicated to providing personalized, evidence-based care to women throughout every stage of life.
As a certified nurse-midwife, Smith provides a full range of women's health services, including prenatal and pregnancy care, low-intervention labor and birth, postpartum support, contraception and family planning, well-woman visits and preventive gynecologic care.
Smith's addition expands options for women seeking obstetric and gynecologic care in the River Valley. Certified nurse-midwives are advanced practice registered nurses with specialized graduate-level education who provide evidence-based care throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum recovery and women's health. They work collaboratively with physicians and the broader health care team to support safe, personalized care.
A native of Clarksville, Smith says she is especially excited to care for women and families in the community she calls home. She is passionate about shared decision-making and patient education, helping women feel informed, confident and supported in their health care choices. Smith believes in building strong relationships with patients and delivering compassionate care tailored to each individual's needs.
"I am excited to join Saint Mary’s medical staff and serve women and families throughout the Arkansas River Valley," Smith said. "My goal is to provide patient-centered care that empowers women through every stage of their health care journey."
Smith is accepting new patients and offers telehealth appointments. She sees adolescent, adult and geriatric patients at River Valley Obstetrics & Gynecology, located at 2500 W. Main St. in Russellville. Appointments may be scheduled by calling 479.219.9913.
