Saint Mary’s Recognizes DAISY Award Honorees and Nominees

Saint Mary’s Regional Health System recently recognized its Second Quarter 2026 DAISY Award honorees and nominees for their exceptional compassion, dedication and commitment to patient care.

This quarter’s honorees included Alysha Frost, RN, of Medical Telemetry, who received the DAISY Award; Janetta Mason, RN, of Nursing Administration, who received the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award; and Medical Telemetry, recipient of the DAISY Team Award.

Frost was nominated by a patient and family member who described her as compassionate, kind and attentive. In their nomination, they shared that Alysha “listens and cares” and called her “the ideal nurse,” praising her commitment to ensuring patients feel comfortable, supported and understood.

The DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Janetta Mason, RN, of Nursing Administration, in recognition of more than 26 years of service to Saint Mary’s. Her nominator described her as “faithful, dedicated, selfless” and a passionate advocate for patients and fellow nurses alike. They praised her leadership, mentorship and unwavering support for team members throughout her career.

Saint Mary’s also presented the DAISY Team Award to the medical telemetry unit for outstanding teamwork and collaboration. The team was recognized for providing exceptional care throughout an 86-day hospitalization, remaining “consistently vigilant, proactive and patient-centered” while maintaining a safe healing environment for a vulnerable patient. The nomination praised the team’s diligence, accountability and compassionate care.
