Saint Mary’s Celebrates National Nurses Week and National Hospital Week
May 12, 2026
Saint Mary’s Regional Health System joins healthcare organizations across the country in celebrating National Nurses Week (May 6-12) and National Hospital Week (May 10-16), recognizing the dedicated professionals who make quality, compassionate care possible every day.
Together, these national celebrations honor Saint Mary’s more than 750 providers and employees—from nurses and caregivers at the bedside to team members working behind the scenes to support hospital operations; from those who keep the hospital clean and safe to staff who engage with the community and strengthen local connections. Every role is essential, and together, these individuals guide patients through every step of their healthcare journey while strengthening the health of the greater River Valley community.
“A career in healthcare is not for the faint of heart,” said Casey Willis, CEO of Saint Mary’s. “It requires strength, determination, courage and selfless commitment to others. During National Nurses Week, National Hospital Week and throughout the year, we are incredibly grateful for the compassion, professionalism and teamwork our nurses, employees and providers bring to our patients every day.”
As a cornerstone of healthcare in the River Valley, Saint Mary’s is proud to serve patients close to home while advancing its mission of making communities healthier.
Saint Mary’s extends sincere appreciation to all healthcare professionals who continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of patients and families.
Happy National Nurses Week and National Hospital Week!
