Saint Mary’s Offers $75 Heart Screenings Throughout February

January 29, 2026

In recognition of American Heart Month, Saint Mary’s Regional Health System is offering $75 heart screenings throughout February to help adults in the River Valley take proactive steps toward understanding their cardiovascular risk.

The screening package includes three key tests designed to identify early signs of heart disease:

  • A1C Test – screens for diabetes and prediabetes
  • Lipid Panel – measures total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides
  • CT Calcium Scoring Scan – assesses hard calcium deposits in the coronary arteries

These screenings are available for adults age 35 and older who meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Must weigh under 400 pounds
  • Must have no history of previous heart procedures
  • Fasting for 6–8 hours is preferred for best results

“Heart disease remains the number one cause of death in the United States, but many risks can be identified and managed early,” said Dr. Zoltan Varga, Interventional Cardiologist at Saint Mary’s. “These screenings give individuals valuable information about their health so they can take action before problems develop.”

You will receive your CT results the same day. Lab results will be mailed to you. We recommend following up with a primary care provider to review your results and determine whether a cardiology referral is needed.

Screenings will be offered through February 28 at Saint Mary’s Outpatient Services, located at 1808 W. Main St. in Russellville.

Appointments are required. To schedule a heart screening, call 479.964.5999.
