Saint Mary’s Regional Health System hosted its annual Mammograms & Mocktails event on Wednesday, October 15, to promote the importance of early detection and encourage women in the River Valley to prioritize their annual mammogram in a relaxed, fun setting. 

The event featured sweet treats like cookies and cupcakes, along with frozen mocktails. Guests who came for their mammogram appointments were also entered into a drawing for exciting door prizes provided by generous local businesses.

“Our goal is to make it a little easier for women to take that important step for their health,” said Murt Millwood, Imaging Director at Saint Mary’s. “By creating a welcoming and uplifting environment, we hope to reduce anxiety around screenings and remind women that their health matters.” 

The Mammograms & Mocktails event is part of Saint Mary’s ongoing commitment to raising awareness about breast health and supporting early detection efforts during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
