Saint Mary’s Regional Health System has announced a significant enhancement to patient care at Turning Point Behavioral Health. Through its continued partnership with Rock Medical Group, the facility now offers full-time, in-person behavioral health providers onsite.
Previously, behavioral health patients at Saint Mary’s primarily received care through telehealth. While this model ensured access, feedback from patients, families and community members highlighted a strong desire for more face-to-face support.
“Increasing in-person access has been a priority,” said Pam Myers, Director of Behavioral Health at Saint Mary’s. “There’s no substitute for sitting across from someone and feeling truly seen and heard. Having providers on the unit daily allows us to deliver a deeper level of care and connection.”
The expanded partnership with Rock Medical Group—already the trusted provider for the hospitalist program at Saint Mary’s—now brings licensed behavioral health professionals directly into the facility. This integration enhances continuity and responsiveness in treatment.
Dr. Ahmad Yousaf, CEO and Founder of Rock Medical Group, stated, “We are proud to deepen our partnership with Saint Mary’s in a way that directly supports mental health access in this community. Providing onsite care aligns with our belief that behavioral health deserves the same presence and attention as any other medical specialty.”
This transition to in-person behavioral health services represents another step in Saint Mary’s broader effort to improve access and provide meaningful care to all who seek support.
As we recognize National Suicide Prevention Month, Saint Mary’s reaffirms its commitment to mental health and encourages individuals to seek help, support one another and engage in open conversations about emotional well-being.
