Saint Mary’s Regional Health System is proud to celebrate an exciting milestone in robotic-assisted surgery, a rapidly growing and highly precise surgical approach that enhances patient care and recovery. Since the launch of the hospital’s robotic surgery program earlier this year, the Saint Mary’s surgical team has successfully completed its 100th robotic-assisted procedure—a remarkable achievement that reflects the program’s momentum and the dedication of the clinical team behind it.
“These milestones represent more than just numbers. They reflect our team's focus on delivering high-quality care with a forward-looking approach,” said Bridget Davis, Director of Surgical Services. “The collaboration between our OR team, anesthesia and providers has made this rapid progress possible, and we are thrilled with the results we’re seeing for patients.”
Robotic-assisted surgery allows for greater precision, flexibility and control during procedures, offering patients benefits such as smaller incisions, less pain and quicker return to normal activities.
Saint Mary’s is proud to offer robotic surgery in both general surgery and gynecology. Our skilled surgical team is led by Dr. Mateo Guarderas, Dr. Tessa Henry and Dr. James Johnson in general surgery, along with Dr. Suzanna Chatterjee-Morris in gynecology.
