Saint Mary’s Welcomes General Surgeon Dr. Tessa Henry

Saint Mary’s Regional Health System is pleased to welcome Tessa Henry, M.D., to its medical staff. Dr. Henry joins the general surgery team, bringing advanced training, clinical leadership and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
Dr. Henry completed her General Surgery Residency at Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, Florida, where she served as both Administrative Chief and Resident Education Chief for the Class of 2025. She earned her Medical Doctorate from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Harding University.
Dr. Henry is certified in DaVinci Robotic Surgery, making her a key addition to Saint Mary’s newly launched robotic surgery program. Her training in minimally invasive techniques enhances the hospital’s ability to offer patients faster recovery times and improved surgical outcomes.
Throughout her career, Dr. Henry has been actively involved in surgical education and research, presenting at national conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed journals on topics ranging from trauma to pediatric and endocrine surgery.

A native Arkansan, Dr. Henry is excited to return to the Natural State. She grew up in Central Arkansas and is now settling in the River Valley with her husband and their 8-month-old son. Together, they enjoy spending time outdoors and exploring all the area has to offer.
