What are the Benefits of Home Care?
There is often no place more conducive to a quick recovery than home, surrounded by loved ones, your favorite easy chair, your own bed and familiar routines. At a certain stage in your recovery, an illness or disability may often be treated at home at a cost much less than hospitalization. Saint Mary’s Home Health is here for you.
Home Care is designed to provide home care to patients who have a condition due to either an illness or injury, which restricts their ability to travel to their physicians’ offices, outpatient rehabilitation or other related services. Patients are able to recover in the comfort of their own homes. Familiar surroundings, coupled with the loving care of family and friends, creates a supportive and healing atmosphere for many individuals.
Patients who may benefit most from home care are those compliant with their physician’s treatment plan, and who are committed to following through with this plan under the supportive guidance and care of the Home Care team.
Saint Mary’s Home Care supports the continuity of care between the hospital, rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility, physicians’ offices, and our patients’ homes. We offer numerous services to our patients, and these services are designed to meet each person’s needs. Services are provided on an intermittent visit basis in your home. Many supplies involved may be delivered directly to your home.
Normal business hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. On-call staff is available to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Saint Mary’s Home Care offers specialty clinical staff that provides the treatment and education designed to help you and your family adjusts to your illness, and maximize your potential for recovery. We are available to serve you and your family. We travel as far as a 30-mile radius of Russellville.
Is home care covered by insurance?
Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance companies have specific guidelines for home care coverage. Expenses for appropriate skilled care may be covered under Medicare, Medicaid and by many private and group medical insurance policies. We welcome the opportunity to provide you with further information regarding your individual situation.
Do you qualify for home care?
To be eligible for home care, you must be homebound, require intermittent, skilled nursing or rehabilitative care, and be unable to participate in outpatient services or programs. Services are rendered in accordance with physicians’ orders. If you feel you could benefit from home care services, contact your physician or call Saint Mary’s Home Care further assistance: 479-964-4544.
