Outpatient Diagnostics are tests that are done at the hospital, but the patient is able to go home after completion. These tests could include imaging, laboratory or other specialty tests as appropriate.
Outpatient procedures, especially same-day surgeries, provide a safe, convenient alternative for many tests and treatments that formerly required an overnight hospital stay. Your physician or health care professional can determine if this is an option for you. Outpatient diagnostic testing is the ideal place for you to have tests done quickly and accurately. Testing services include pre-surgical testing, chest x-ray, EKG, CT scans, mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, ultrasound, vascular ultrasounds, bone densitometry, thyroid scans, Hepatobiliary scans, renal studies, lung scans, Cardiac Stress Tests, MRI’s and walk in lab.
The Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center P.A.T. (Pre-Admission Testing) Department helps eliminate delays and decreases the waiting time for you and your family. We obtain your most current medical history and make sure all required labs, tests, and paperwork are in place prior to your surgery.
