Intensive Care provides seriously or critically ill patients with intensive monitoring. Life or organ support provisions may also be necessary.
Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit consists of over 125 years of skilled nursing experience. Our ICU Department is technically equipped with newly renovated rooms with a spacious nurses station that oversees each ICU bed at all times. Each room is fully equipped to monitor and respond to the needs of the critical care patient. When intensive caring is essential, Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center provides the skilled nursing staff to provide close observation of cardiac and intensive care patients. Unit nurses have advanced training in cardiac and critical care as well as advanced cardiac life support (ACLS and CPR).
Someone you care about may be in the ICU. We know you are concerned. You may not know what to expect. Emotions you may be experiencing are worry, anxiety, and fear. At Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center we want to provide moral support in addition to delivering high quality healthcare. Please contact any of our highly competent nursing staff or physicians with questions you may have.
The ICU is a special place, so Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center has established visiting hours for the benefit of patients and to facilitate the administration of quality care. Our primary objective is to maintain an environment that promotes your quick recovery. These policies and procedures are in place to help you and your family work with our doctors, nurses, and staff to get the most from your hospital stay. Please take a few minutes to review these guidelines with your loved ones.
Visitor Information
- Visitation is limited to immediate family only.
- Intensive Care Unit has a designated waiting area.
- Children under 12 years of age are not allowed past the waiting area.
- Visitation is for 1 hour from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m., 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., and 8:00 – 9:00 p.m.
The ICU waiting room is open at all times for family members to wait on loved ones. The Saint Mary’s Auxiliary and staff are there to lend assistance in any way they can. To reach the ICU Waiting Room call 479-964-9451.
