Saint Mary’s To Host Thanksgiving Blood Drive
November 22, 2011As we make plans with our loved ones this Thanksgiving, many people who require blood transfusions depend on the generosity of our community for support. If you would like to express your gratitude this holiday season and do something for others try giving blood.
During this season of giving thanks, Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center in conjunction with the American Red Cross invites members of the River Valley community to make a blood donation during the Thanksgiving Blood Drive, scheduled for Saturday, November 26, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in cafes 2 and 3.
No appointment is necessary, just stop in and say, “I want to be a blood donor!” The donation process takes less than an hour and refreshments will be served to participants. As our way of saying thanks, American Red Cross will be giving long sleeve t-shirts to all those who donate. Also, all donors will be entered into drawings for two $25.00 gift certificates to Wal-Mart.
Give thanks and give hope to someone in need this Thanksgiving by donating blood. One donation can save up to three lives.
